Melbourne writer and ARI aficionado Claire Mooney has written a conversational history of ARIna and the We Are Here ARI Symposium. Speaking to all the key players she not only tells how these projects came together, but investigates the nature of dialogue and conversation and the particular way organisational collaboration brings results in the arts sector.

Claire has had a relatively long-term affair with ARIs in Melbourne. In 2006-07 she was a committee member for the Making Space: Victorian Artist Run Initiatives publication. In 2007-09 she became the director of ‘Bus’ and also collected data from eight inner city ARIs for the City of Melbourne’s ‘Artist Run Spaces, Artist Run Initiatives’ project.
